The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has awarded Balosh Integrated Services the contract to completely replace all the automatic sliding doors at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos. The value of the contract is N36million with a one-year maintenance contract.
The doors are currently in a dilapidated state as no successful overhaul has been carried out since the airport was built 30 years ago.
The FAAN MD is particularly excited about this contract because it will improve the efficiency of the air conditioning system which has been a stigma attached to the airport over the years.
Roy Oshinbolu, Chief Executive, said: “This is our biggest project to date. Murtala Mohammed International Airport is one of the busiest and most important places of interest in the country. The doors are expected to handle traffics of over 50 million passages yearly. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to establish our self in the area of entrance control.”
